The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, responsible for determining the start of the holy month of Ramadan in Pakistan, has announced that the Ramadan moon was sighted. As a result, the first day of Ramadan will be observed on Thursday, starting tomorrow.

The announcement was made by the committee’s chairman, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, during a press conference held in Peshawar on Wednesday evening. This decision was reached after a meeting of the Ruet-e-Hilal committee, which is held every month to determine the sighting of the moon in accordance with Islamic traditions.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that the Ramadan moon was not sighted in neighboring countries such as India and Bangladesh. However, Saudi Arabia and most other Gulf states have announced that they will commence the fasting month on Thursday, similar to Pakistan.
